克里米亚经过所谓的公投后，脱离乌克兰，投入了俄罗斯的怀抱，却遭到世界各国的制裁和谴责。不过中共外交部，一方面说尊重每个国家的领土主权，同时又呼吁国际社会冷静，这种互为矛盾的做法，引起了公众讨论。外界认为，如果在中国 公投的话，恐怕绝大部分人希望脱离中共，最好中南海自己画圈独立为好。
3月16号，克里米亚举行全民公投，克里米亚官员宣布，在参加公投的选民中，将近97%的人投票支持克里米亚脱离乌克兰，加入俄罗斯。但乌克兰临时总理亚采纽克表示，这次克里米亚的公投，是在俄罗斯的枪口下进行的〝马戏表演〞。
17号，欧盟宣布对21名俄罗斯和乌克兰官员实施旅行禁令，并冻结他们的海外 财产。这些官员被认为在克里米亚〝脱乌入俄〞的过程中，扮演了重要角色。
而美国白宫则发表声明说，克里米亚公投违反乌克兰宪法，是在〝俄罗斯军事干预带来的暴力与恐吓威胁之下〞进行的公投，国际社会不会予以承认。白宫还说，一个国家通过武力侵占他国领土，而让国际社会对此袖手旁观的时代已经一去不复返。美国呼吁国际社会继续谴责俄方的行为，采取〝切实措施〞令其付出代价，同时共同维护乌克兰的主权与领土完整。
18号，中共外交部再次呼吁在乌克兰问题 上保持克制，宣称国际社会应该发挥建设性作用，缓和紧张局势。
外交部发言人洪磊说：〝中国一贯尊重每个国家的领土主权。〞
不过，在联合国表决〝克里米亚公投非法〞的提案时，北京却投了弃权票。
旅澳中国问题专家赵远明：〝不管是乌克兰还是俄罗斯，北京都不想得罪，尤其俄罗斯，北京需要跟俄罗斯在政治上、经济上、军事上结盟。但是它一听这公投也是心惊胆跳的，这个公投如果在中国出现的话，共产党肯定就倒，大家会投它的弃权票或反对票。〞
大陆 《权利运动发起人胡军：〝现在广东、上海、云南、贵州，哪个省都不愿意和中共中南海的一帮流氓 掺和在一起，最好画个圈，中南海单独独立，他们自己在那个圈里搞他们的马列，我们是中国黄种人，不是马列，华人和马列没有任何关系。〞
中国历史 上出现很多全盛时期，唐朝太宗年间，万国归顺，明朝永乐年间，万王来朝。评论指出，如果在那个时候选择 公投，不知道有多少国家和民族愿意选择中国。大陆《权利运动》网站 发起人胡军说，现在中国人都清醒了，选择脱离中共不等于脱离中国。
《美国之音》评论说，在如何对乌克兰危机做出官方回应的问题上，中国一直在走钢丝。
评论认为，俄罗斯通过派遣军队来敦促克里米亚举行公投，触及到了中国的两个核心外交原则，那就是不干预别国事务和保护领土完整。
美国蒙大拿大学the University of Montana退休史学教授史蒂芬．莱文( Steven Levine)，一生都在研究中国问题以及中国的外交关系，史蒂文向《新唐人》指出，通过公民投票来决定一个国家的领土归属，会让北京联想到，新疆、西藏和台湾等地区的去向。
美国蒙大拿大学退休史学教授史蒂芬．莱文：〝当然支持在一片国土里投票独立是违背北京政府的长远利益的，因为就像我指出的一样，西藏 ，新疆，台湾都会出现这种情况。 对台湾来说，如果没有来自北京的压力， 多数台湾人会要想投票成为一个独立的国家，这是会立即出现的问题 。〞
中共夺权以来，一直把西藏和新疆当作头等大事来抓，近年来，由于中共对西藏文化的破坏，并企图用马列主义给僧人洗脑，导致僧人自焚 事件时有发生。

Chinese Communist Party Non-Committal Over Crimean Referendum to Leave Ukraine.
The recent referendum in Crimea was reported
to have resulted for a majority vote to join Russia.
This move has faced international
sanctions and condemnation.
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Foreign Ministry
has spoken about respecting territorial sovereignty.
It has appealed for calm in the international community,
which has triggered much discussion amongst the public.
Observers believe that if a referendum was held in
China, most people would want to remove the CCP.
They would want to leave the CCP government
compound in Zhongnanhai standing isolated.
On March 16, a referendum was held in Crimea.
Crimean officials announced that nearly 97%
of voters who participated voted in favor of
Crimea leaving Ukraine, and to join Russia.
Ukraine interim Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said
that the Crimean referendum was conducted under the
muzzle of Russian gun point, and was merely a show.
On March 17, European Union (EU) announced
a travel ban on 21 Russian and Ukrainian
officials, and a freeze on their overseas assets.
These officials are considered to have played key roles
in Crimea “leaving Ukraine and joining Russian.”
The White House says the referendum
is contrary to Ukraine’s constitution.
It further stated that the international community
won’t recognize the results of a vote held under
“threats of violence and intimidation from a Russian
military intervention that violates international law.”
“We are long past the time when the international
community will stand quietly by while one
country forcibly seizes the territory of another.
We call on all members of the international
community to continue to condemn such actions.
To take concrete steps to impose costs, and to
stand together in support of the Ukrainian people.
To support Ukraine＇s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
On March 18, China＇s Foreign Ministry reiterated
its call to act with restraint on the Ukraine issue.
It stated that the international community should
take constructive steps to ease current tensions.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said:
“China has always respected the independence,
sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries.”
However, Beijing abstained from the UN
resolution declaring Crimea＇s vote invalid.
Zhao Yuanming, China expert: “China does
not want to offend either the Ukraine or Russia.
Beijing especially needs Russia as a political,
economic and military alliance partner.
The CCP is also very afraid of the concept of referendum.
If a referendum was held in China, the CCP would collapse.”
Hu Jun, founder, China Human Rights Movement:
“Now, in Guangdong, Shanghai, Yunnan, Guizhou,
none of these provinces is willing to mix with the CCP.
It is best to draw a circle around
Zhongnanhai and let it be independent.
They can set up Marxism within this circle.
We are Chinese, not Marxists or Leninists.
We Chinese people have nothing to do with these things.”
Chinese history has many peak eras of culture.
During the Taizong Years in the Tang Dynasty,
and Yongle Years of the Ming Dynasty, kings
from all over the world would travel to China.
If a referendum was held at that time, how
many countries and nations would choose China?
Hu Jun comments that Chinese people are now
waking up, and choose to denounce the CCP.
Voice of America commented that the CCP has
been walking on a tightrope with the question of
how to officially respond to the crisis in the Ukraine.
Commentators think that Russia sending troops
into Crimea to urge a referendum touched
the core of China’s two diplomatic principles.
These are to not interfere with other countries＇
affairs and protection of territorial integrity.
Steven Levine, a retired University of Montana professor,
has closely studied China and China’s foreign relations.
Steven told NTD that ownership of territory
by referendum will make Beijing think about
the future of Xinjiang, Tibet and Taiwan.
Steven Levine: “It goes against the Beijing regime＇s
interests to be seen supporting a vote for independence.
This is because of the issue of Tibet
and Xinjiang, and Taiwan for that matter.
There is no oppression from Beijing upon Taiwan, so people
in Taiwan would likely vote to be an independent country.
This is a more immediate question.
Since the CCP seized power, Tibet
and Xinjiang have been top priorities.
In recent years, the CCP destroying Tibetan culture
and attempting to brainwash its people with Marxism
