前NBA美国休斯顿火箭队中锋，中共政协委员姚明，3月6日在记者会上说：〝肥胖像雾霾一样有害〞，建议改善中国 青少年肥胖问题 。
姚明从NBA退役后，体型明显发福。在记者会上他说，肥胖和雾霾一样，当大家意识到它的危害时，才会下决心改变，〝我认为未来 10年，肥胖将像雾霾一样影响中国人〞。

姚明表示，中国现在的肥胖人群以年轻人为主，高吸烟率、缺乏锻炼和不健康饮食导致目前中国疾病呈高发态势。
他说，中国人现在没有时间锻炼。尽管大城市已经有一些健身中心，但忙于赚钱的人们不愿意付出时间改善自己的健康。他希望能与政府合作，设立针对孩子的项目和竞赛，鼓励人们养成健身的习惯。
